Careers Resident Assistant The Resident Assistants are caregivers who assist the residents who are functionally, physically and/or socially impaired and need 24-hour oversight. The resident Assistant's role is to assist the resident with those activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing, which he or she is unable to perform without help, fostering at all times the resident's independence and freedom of choice. They provide assistance in set up and clean up of the dining room and dishwashing area.
